Automatic only The PIR switch will switch on the connected load automatically when an area is occupied, and then switch it off automatically when the area has been vacant for a chosen duration (time lag). This has the benefits of reduced energy bills and automatic control. When being used to control lighting, the built-in photocell can be used to keep the lights off on bright days. Automatic with manual temporary intervention When entering a room the retractive switch (momentary) is pressed activating a 30 second load ON time. If the person stays longer than 30 seconds within the zone of detection the load will then go into standard PIR switch functionality with its full time lag (adjustable from 10 seconds to 40 minutes). On leaving if the retractive switch is pressed the load will switch OFF after 30 seconds.
